Sir/Mam,what is the product obtained in the anode and cathode when molten NaCl and aqueous NaCl is subjected to electrolysis???

Hello Lekshmi,

In the electrolysis of molten NaCl, Cl2 is obtained at the anode as a by-product. The overall reaction is as follows:- 

NaCl(melt) on electrolysis gives Na(S) and 1/2Cl2(g).
