Correct Answer: 25
Solution :
Let the six numbers be a, b, c, d, e, and f
The average of the 1st five numbers is 30
So, a+b+c+d+e = 30×5 = 150 ......................(1)
The average of the last five numbers is 25.
So, b+c+d+e+f = 25×5 =125 .......................(2)
Subtracting equation (2) from equation (1) we get,
a – f = 150 – 125 = 25
Hence, the correct answer is 25.
