Structural Engineering is a branch of Civil Engineering. It deals with the analysis and design of structures. It include buildings, bridges, towers, flyovers, tunnels, offshore structures like oil and gas fields in the sea, aerostructure and other structures that support or resists the load.

Scope of Structural Engineering

There is good scope in this field as there is ample opportunities to work on a huge variety of projects almost every construction needs structural design.

Starting salary in this field for government sector is Rs. 8,000 to Rs. 12,000 and for private sector is Rs 12,000 to Rs 20,000. With experience and advanced degrees one can earn Rs 50,000 to Rs 60,000 per month.
