I hope you are doing good . I would like to tell you that you dont have to apply all NITS indiviually. NIT entrance exam is conducted by only one NIts( mostly new nit or topmost conducts the exam). So after giving the entrance  only ,  You just have to apply on counselling portal for counselling  one time only or sometime you have apply for entrance only then you access counselling by credentials. Counselling are done on 3 rounds generally . If any nit is alloted to you in some round which means you have cleared the cutt off of that nit and then you have to secure that after paying some fees.
