The number of real roots of the equation x^2-3x +2=0 is ?

First, we will calculate Discriminant:

D=b^2-4ac

Here a=1,b=-3,c=2

therefore D=(-3)^2-4*1*2

D=9-8

D=1

Since Discriminant is greater than zero it means two real and discrete roots.

Now the roots are    3+1/2 and 3-1/2

That is the roots of the given equation are 2 and 1

That is equation has two real roots.
