Correct Answer: 2380
Solution : The total number of boys in all these 8 schools is 8000. Number of boys in school P = $\frac{7}{100}×8000=560$ Number of boys in school R = $\frac{8}{100}×8000=640$ Number of boys in school T = $\frac{17}{100}×8000=1360$ Number of boys in school W = $\frac{3}{100}×8000=240$ The average number of boys in these 4 schools = $\frac{560+640+1360+240}{4}=\frac{2800}{4}=700$ Number of boys in school Q = $\frac{37}{100}×8000=2960$ Number of boys in school V = $\frac{5}{100}×8000=400$ The average number of boys in these 2 schools = $\frac{2960+400}{2}=\frac{3360}{2}=1680$ Sum = 700 + 1680 = 2380 Hence, the correct answer is 2380.
