If you’re looking for degree (B.Sc, B.Com, B.A, B.Tech), they are different from diploma courses. With 494 marks in 12th (very good score), you are definitely eligible for degree admission in arts, science, or commerce colleges. Diploma is just an alternate option (usually after 10th). You don’t need to settle for only diploma — with your marks, you can easily get a degree seat.
