The total number of government MBBS seats in Madhya Pradesh (as of recent trends) is around 2,000–2,400 seats. Out of this, approximately 50% are for unreserved (UR) category, which means around 1,000–1,200 seats are available for general category students.These seats are spread across 13 government medical colleges, and some newly established ones are also expected to add more seats in coming years.

The total government seats in Madhya Pradesh for MBBS for Unreserved category students are approximately 2,700 - 2,750 . Out of these, approximately 620 - 640 comes under the Madhya Pradesh State Quota and rest are for all states.
