A person from any state is eligible to appear in wbjee and take admission.But for any of the government engineering colleges in West Bengal, you need to have a domicile.
Outside state students are not eligible for government colleges.Domicile certificate is not needed for any private engineering colleges as well Jadhavpur University which is one of the best institute for engineering.

Eligibility for taking admission in the WBJEE 2020 B.Tech course:

Candidates must be citizen of India.
His/her age should not be less that 17 years on December 31, 2020. There is no upper age limit for WBJEE 2020 but for Marine Engineering Degree Course, the upper age limit is 25 years as on December 31, 2020.
Candidate should have passed Class 12 as regular student from a recognized board with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/ Biotechnology/Computer Application as compulsory subjects.
The aggregate marks in these three subjects taken together should not be less than 45% (for SC/ST/OBC /PwD 40%).
