We belong to OBC creamy layer. Being unaware that this category is considered as "General" for PG NEET 2020, we have wrongly filled the application under OBC. Is there a way to "edit" that or should we file a new application or can this be changed during counselling? Kindly guide us please.

Unfortunately, you cannot change your Category in the NEET PG application. You will have to re-register with a new Email Id and Mobile no#. You will have to fill in the details again and make a new payment altogether. NBE has disallowed corrections in the basic fields like Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Nationality, Photograph, Signature, Email Id, Mobile No# and Category.

Thank you very much for your quick response. Really appreciated. Just one more clarification. Will it be an issue if I apply again as there will be two applications for the same person? My fear is that my daughter should not get disqualified for filing her application twice. She and the entire family have been going through a lot of trauma due to this issue. She had been preparing hard for this exam and this issue has dented her morale.

There would have been an issue with double applications had there been chance to correct these details in the correction window. But with the basic and most important details being disabled for correction, it becomes mandatory to fill in another application. It is better to fill in another application rather than letting the faulty one stay at the cost of being rejected. NBE understands this too. So there is nothing to be worried about. Your daughter is in the final months of her Internship? She managed to get an MBBS seat competing with lakhs of students. She shouldn't be stressed over an application. Please do convey this to her on our behalf that she is one brave young Medical student and this is nothing to be worried about.
