Individuals who choose a career as a dietitian can work in a variety of settings, including acute and community health, health education, private practise (freelance), foodservice, and research.
There are different types of Dietitians:
- Clinical Dietitian

To become a Dietitian, following steps are required:
- One must pass 10+2 with physics, chemistry, and biology as core courses from a recognised board with a minimum of 60% marks.
- Entrance Examination- A course in dietics and applied nutrition is offered at a number of institutions and universities. The entrance examination is required in order to get admission to these universities and pursue a career as a dietician.
- Bachelor's degree-Candidates must pass the entrance examination in order to be admitted to the Bachelor's programme. Nutrition and dietetics bachelor's degree: A bachelor's degree in nutrition and dietetics is an undergraduate programme. The course will take three years to complete.

Post Bachelor's-Candidates have two alternatives after obtaining their Bachelor's degree.

Junior Level Salary: Rs. 20000 per month
