Hello,
The Civil Services Examination (CSE) syllabus by UPSC consists of three stages:
1. Preliminary Examination (Prelims)
- Paper 1: General Studies (GS) – 200 Marks
- History, Geography, Polity, Economy, Environment, Science, Current Affairs
- Paper 2: CSAT – 200 Marks (Qualifying)
- Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Maths
2. Mains Examination
- 9 Papers (Total 1750 Marks)
- Essay, GS 1-4 (History, Polity, Economy, Ethics), Optional (2 Papers), English & Language (Qualifying)
3. Interview (Personality Test)
- 275 Marks
- Tests candidate’s personality, knowledge, decision-making skills.
