Hi Jabeen,
JEE is one of the most toughest and highly competitive examination not only in the country but also in the world. Mechanics is a topic under Physics. The Kinematics and Newton's Laws of Motion parts constitute for about 2-3 question every year. Other topics such as Conservation of Momentum, Collisions, Work, Energy, Power, Rotational Dynamics and Center of Mass are very important. Together, they constitute about 15% of the marks for Physics. If you want to do well, you need to understand the basic concepts and practise your numericals well. Other concepts in Mechanics include Gravitation, Thermal Physics and Fluid Physics.
