In this time where water scarcity is emerging as a greater problem and digging ground fo build wells takes a lot of time and the probability is less whether one is diiging at the right place. So with their remote sensing facility, they can map out the specific area to dig up the ground where the chances are more to find water. Same goes with the fish mapping which makes it easier for fishermen to locate fish. Their INSAT satellites helps in creating a more accurate forecast as farmers are dependant on rains. With the help of their satellites they are able to provide DTH and mobile communication services which are a boon to mankind.
