Good evening,

As you seem to be a little curious and unique ,and you want something different as compared to most commonly known courses like CSE or ECE or EEE department.

I've found some different courses listed below:

1)Aeroscape engineering- You will find 71 colleges in India with this course

2) Aeronautical engineering - 181 Colleges are available in India

3) Automation and robotics- 63 colleges in India

4) Nuclear engineering - only 17 colleges in India ( tough competition though )

Much more courses based on your choice and interest could be taken so I'll be giving you a link through which you could get to know more about this :https://dqxeclau.top/list-of-engineering-courses-offering-be-btech-degree-in-india

Hope this information is helpful, good luck.

Hi Sanjay,

Engineering students are now focusing on emerging fields such as

  • Aerospace Engineering:

Aerospace is a specialized branch of engineering which deals with the design and development of aircraft's as well as space crafts. The course also focuses on new technologies in aviation, defense systems, and space exploration.

SCOPE OF AEROSPACE ENGINEERING

  • When the world is designing more cost-effective satellites and space shuttles, it’ll need expert brains to design such machines.
  • As the world is moving towards commercialization of space shuttles and rockets, the demand for aerospace engineers is set to increase.
  • With a number of private players entering into aerospace technology, the opportunities are getting better.
  • Aeronautical Engineering:

Aeronautical engineering is a study about the design and systems of an aircraft. It involves the practical and theoretical understanding of materials, assembling parts, testing, and maintenance of aircrafts

SCOPE OF AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING

  • There is a lot of scope in government organizations including defense.
  • Aeronautical engineers can have earned well in private MNCs
  • There are opportunities to work with NASA after completing higher studies in this stream.
  • Agriculture Engineering:

Agricultural Engineering relates to the science and technology of producing food grains. It applies principles of engineering science and technology to production and processing in the field of agriculture. Here the knowledge of agriculture principles gets combined with the disciplines of animal biology, plant biology and also principles of Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Chemical Engineering.

SCOPE OF AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING

  • Jobs in tractor-manufactures, irrigation companies, fertilizer and seed companies, and dairy farms.
  • State agriculture departments recruit Agriculture Engineers at district and sub-district levels for processing, farm mechanisation etc.
  • Postgraduates can appear for Agricultural Research Service Exam conducted by Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board to become scientists.
  • After qualifying NET one can pursue teaching at colleges and universities as a lecturer.

Jobs available to fresh agricultural engineering graduates and postgraduates are:

Agricultural Officer

Quality Assurance Officer

Farm Manager

Research Engineer

Process Manager

Purchase Manager

If you fantasized about designing a ‘RoboCop’ or were awe-struck with ‘Iron Man’ powers; you may have an inclination towards pursuing automation and robotics course. Automation and robotics is a specialized engineering branch that provides in-depth knowledge in the areas concerning electro-mechanics, robotic sensors, automatic system, and artificial intelligence.

SCOPE OF AUTOMATION AND ROBOTICS
  • Increasing demand for quality products and services at low cost has led industries towards automation and robotics engineering.
  • In the near future, robotics and automatic systems will be replacing human labor force in a number of hazardous places including mining.
  • The industry requires specialized workforce to replace manual laborers who will be in charge of the automated machines and robots.

  • Automation and Robotics:

  • Automobile Engineering:

Automobile Engineering or Automotive Engineering is a part of Mechanical Engineering. Through the application of automotive technology, the course offers specialization in vehicle designing, repairing, testing and assembling. In this programme, one can also learn safety engineering, quality management and control, automotive analytics as well as assembling and installation of various automobiles.

SCOPE OF AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING

  • As Design Engineers, automobile engineers design the intricate details of the hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems inside a vehicle.
  • As Development Engineers, they are involved in the development, implementation, operation, maintenance, and control of all processes in the manufacture of vehicles.
  • As a quality control executive, they work towards improving the efficiency of existing vehicles and developing new ones.

Along with this, graduates and postgraduates may fetch the following jobs in the automobile industry:

Automobile Engineer

Material Processing Specialist

Safety Testing Specialist

Material Purchase Manager

Quality Control Executive

Research and Development Engineer

  • Biotechnology Engineering:

Biotechnology engineering is the study, research, and development of bio-organism, micro-organism and cell functions in living beings. The course combines engineering with other subjects like chemistry, genetics, biochemistry and microbiology. Biotechnology covers different fields of work like agriculture, disease research, eco-conservation, fertilizers, vaccines, energy production, and animal husbandry.

SCOPE OF BIOTECHNOLOGY ENGINEERING
  • Students with Biotechnology degrees can work as laboratory technicians in various research centers, hospitals, healthcare centres and universities.
  • Many pharmaceutical companies hire postgraduates in biotechnology as research scientists.
  • The rise in the production of genetically modified crops has increased the demands in the market. This has increased the scope of employment for students pursuing Biotechnology.

  • Chemical Engineering:

Chemical Engineering deals with the design, development of processes and operation of machines and plants through which the physical or chemical state of materials undergo various changes. Founded on the principles relating to chemistry, physics, and mathematics, Chemical Engineering finds application in process industries.

SCOPE OF CHEMICAL ENGINEERING
  • Chemical Engineers play a significant role in the advancement of systems that depend upon material response for their functioning.
  • They also know how to predict and tailor the outcomes of chemical reactions and synthesize chemicals.
  • The industry offers multiple roles for skilled professionals

Hope it helps.
