The best course after BDS is MDS, though. But if you don't want to pursue MDS, don't be disheartened. There are other various options for you like:

1.You can pursue short duration diploma or certificate courses from abroad or India as per your choice in different fields like Implant, Endodontics, Aesthetics and cosmetics, etc.

2. You can write NBDE exams: This is bit tough but it can be cracked through hardest. You get a chance to do DDS from abroad.

3.Study MBA in hospitality 

4. Do masters in Public health

5. One can also apply for UPSC if that interests you.

6. You can go for government jobs like army dental corp, dentist on railway, state government jobs as dental officers, in government hospitals.
