Most of candidates who are doing M.Tech from IITs in mechatronics are from ECE department. Some of them are form mechanical branch also. IIT Patna is offering M.Tech in mechatronics.

For pursuing M.Tech in Mechatronics, one can choose Mechatronics at B.Tech level. Mechatronics is a combination of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and also includes parts of Computer Science Engineering. So choosing Mechatronics in B.Tech is wise for pursuing M.Tech in Mechatronics.
