My suggestion would be to check previous year's cutoff at josaa website for more clarification regarding better choices.......you should fill choices according to your preferences......altough you have some chances to get lower rank IITs...so make your decisions wisely.

Based on your ranking you have a chance of admission at one of the middle-to-low ranked IITs. There are more than 11,000 seats on offer through JoSAA counselling, but almost half of them are reserved. So, you are left with around 5,500 seats, considering you belong to the general category.

One advice for you will be to fill as many choices you can. Make sure that you fill as many combinations for every institute possible. If your luck holds, you might just land yourself a seat!

Best of luck.
