Hello,
As per the given guidelines by NTA there is no such provision to appear in JEE Main at home if a candidate has tested positive. According to the guidelines candidates need to carry sanitizer, stand at designated place, follow social distancing, wear a mask and to avoid the crowd barcode scanner will be placed so the candidates can know their exam room number. The scanner will scan the barcode in the admit card. But there are no guidelines given for positive tested candidates also there are no thermal guns to check the temperature of candidates and isolate the candidates whose body temperature is higher than normal. Candidate who tested may have to skip the exam, he/she won't be given a facility to attempt the exam at their home.

Government is saying that they will make sure that all the essentials precautions for covin 19 including social distancing will be observed on the day of exam so as to make sure that no student lives were at risk. Therefore it is safe to assume that there will be distant seating arrangements in the examination halls, but you at your individual level must also make sure that you are following social distancing properly.
Thank you.
