what is an echo ? and persistance of hearing ?
Hello!
An Echo is the sound or sounds caused by the reflection of sound waves from a surface back to the listener. The minimum distance required to create an echo is 17metres ( distance between the source and the wall)
Ex: when you scream your name from a mountain range .
Persistence of hearing of a human ear means how much time the sensation of any sound stay in our brain. For normal human ear the value is 0.1 s.
Hope this Helped:)

Hello Aspirant,
An echo is a sound that is repeated because the sound waves are reflected back. Sound waves can bounce off smooth, hard objects in the same way as a rubber ball bounces off the ground. Although the direction of the sound changes, the echo sounds the same as the original sound.
The sensation of hearing of any sound persists in our brain for 0.1 second and this is called persistence of hearing.
Hope you got your answer.
Thanks!
