Hi

The arginine cycle/ cori's cycle/ ornithine cycle, better known as urea cycle is a cycle of biochemical reactions in which urea is produced (NH 2 ) 2 CO from ammonia (NH 3 ).

Urea cycle occurs in ureotelic organisms. The urea cycle converts highly toxic ammonia to urea for excretion. The ammonia is a toxic substance and has to be eliminated from the body therefore the above cycle is of great importance.

Thanks
