What is asked in IELTS exam? What and how the questions are asked? What should I start practising?
Hello aspirant,
IELTS is a standardized test that primarily tests your command over English. If you want to study or migrate to a country where English is the native language, IELTS is a must in such cases.
There are two test types in IELTS academic and general. Both the tests will have four sections, listening, reading, writing and speaking.
For listening section, you will be given conversations between people and after carefully listening to those you will have to answer a bunch of question.
The reading part will have ling passages and subsequently questions will be asked based on that
Writing section will consists of two tasks and both will have to be completed.
Speaking section is nothing but an interview between the candidate and the examiner. This will help them understand your fluency and also communication skills.

Preparation comes after you understand the test pattern fully. Then you can start by practicing sample papers. This will help you analyze where you stand with the subject.
Also, to get a command over English, it is necessary that you read a lot. Note down the meaning of every word that you think you might know the meaning to. Listening and speaking sections shouldn't be tough to crack, focus on the reading and writing sections.
Preparation material is available online, so do check that out. Also, do not forget the practice test, the more you attempt these the more better you will get.
I hope this helps
Thank you
