hello shiva......

the major difference between ielts academic and ielts general is that

the ielts academic is for people applying for higher education in an english speaking environment.

whereas the ielts general is for those who are going to english speaking countries for secondary education or training programs.

i hope this information is helpful

Dear Shiva,

The IELTS Academic test is higher education aspirants. Students opting to study abroad where the language of instruction is English have to score well in IELTS Academic.

The IELTS General Training test is used for secondary education, work permits and training. The scores are also used by certain countries for migration such as Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the UK
