Hii,
To become a Drugs Inspector in India, you need to have a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology from a recognized university. But general Life Science or Biology degrees like B.Sc. in Zoology or Botany usually do not make you eligible unless the degree includes core subjects from pharmaceutical sciences. After the degree, you also need to qualify through a competitive exam conducted either by UPSC for central government posts or the State PSC for state government posts. The selection process usually includes a written exam and an interview.
So if you're from a Life Science background , you're not directly eligible for Drugs Inspector jobs unless the notification specifically mentions those degrees. But if you’re interested in this field, you can consider going for a B.Pharm after 12th or even after graduation through lateral entry if available.
