Hello,
EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test) is an entrance exam for admission into engineering, agriculture, and pharmacy courses in colleges of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
It follows the NCERT syllabus of Class 11 and 12 (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics for engineering; Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for agriculture & pharmacy).
EAMCET is easier than NEET because NEET is for medical admissions and has tougher Biology and conceptual questions. EAMCET focuses more on formula-based and direct questions, making it less challenging than NEET but still competitive.
Hope it helps !
Hello!
What is EAMCET?
AP (Andhra Pradesh) EAMCET and TS EAMCET organize Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test to gain admission into engineering, agriculture and pharmacy courses. Therapeutic Education and Admission Test (TELE) will not substitute the entrance requirement of NEET for admission to MBBS/BDS programs.
EAMCET Syllabus
The EAMCET syllabus follows the teaching materials from both Class 11 and Class 12 of state board education systems. It includes:
- For Engineering (B.Tech, B.Pharm, etc.)
Mathematics: Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Probability
Physics: Laws of Motion, Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism
Chemistry: Atomic Structure, Organic & Inorganic Chemistry
- For Agriculture & Pharmacy
A student must master the biological sciences of Botany & Zoology and their respective subjects which include Plant Physiology and Genetics and Human Physiology.
Physics along with Chemistry follows the exact curriculum as engineering programs.
Is EAMCET Tougher Than NEET?
EAMCET stands easier than NEET because its question types ask for concept understanding directly without tasking learners to solve complex problems.
Medical aspirants need to achieve a profound level of understanding in all three fields of Biology Chemistry and Physics to pass NEET.
The EAMCET exam does not deduct marks for incorrect answers but the NEET implementation includes negative markings for incorrect responses.
Which Exam is Best for You?
The Admissions Committee of Engineering, Agriculture, Medicine Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) serves as the appropriate exam selection for students pursuing engineering, agriculture, or pharmacy.
A student wanting to study MBBS/BDS must sit for the NEET test.
