Both diploma and degree courses for Hotel Management has different value. It varies according to people choice.

Diploma in Hotel Management: This diploma is done by those who have financial problems and wants job in their respective field only. It is more Practical and less theoretical.

Degree in Hotel Management: This course is a Bachelor Degree course which is for 3 years which includes more of theoretical study and less of practical experience.

People goes for diploma study for almost 1 year and then they opt for a job but those who go for a degree course spend their 3 yrs in college and then opt for job.

Since Hotel Management is more of a practical study people do 1 year diploma and rest 2 yrs in industry. At the same time people with Bachelor degree are also eligible for all Government jobs which needs graduation level.
