Hello,

KVPY is Kishore vaigyanik protsahan yojana the exam is conducted by IISC Bangalore. Students studying 11th, 12th, and UG courses in science courses are eligible. They should have scored a minimum of 75% in 10th std(65% for SC, ST, PWD) And a minimum of 60% in 12th std(50% for SC, ST, PWD candidates).

The exam is conducted every year to identify student's talent and aptitude, encourage them to work in the research field in science. The fellowship is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.

if you qualify for the exam the fellowship of rs.5000 every month is provided till pre Ph.D. level.

The exam adds more importance as it is funded by the central government. The tag of KVPY scholar is prestigious it can also provide direct admission to top institutes like IIS and various IISERs.
