You can work in government hospitals,NGOs,Health Centres,Health Departments. You can also apply for the Combined Medical Service Entrance Examination conducted by the UPSC for the position of Opthamologist. You can even join defense services-in the army,air force,navy as an Opthamologist.
Moreover,the respect and money that a doctor earns in this country is incomparable.
