The engineering of microscopic devices is called micro-engineering. The phenomenon of production and designing of small machines and structures is called micro engineering. It is the engineering carried out at an extremely small level. Micro-engineered motors and pumps are not easily visible to the naked eyes. These machines have the potential to replicate the processes carried out by living organisms.

As far as jobs go, its a very new and alienated field. Be on top of your game and be noticeable to recruiters; that means you should have far more than just good marks.

The application of micro engineering is infinite.

It is the  technology of making electronic devices even smaller which has wide spread applications on today's technological advances.(like MEMS and such)

You can also get good jobs in that field if you are dedicated in the field and are able to understand the concepts. You can also earn a good amount.

Micro engineering is the study of engineering in the Nano scale.it deals in the minute and microscopic units of matter. Nano technology covers such microscopic level of matter both in the chemical and biological spheres.Critical analysis of minute components and details is the all mark in Nano technology. Studying in one of thetop 10 engineering colleges in Bangalorehas opened many students to this but yet very key aspect industrial application
