What is procedure of admission in AFMC,and after study what is the carrier (to work only in army or work like normal doctors)?
The admissions in the AFMC College is offered through NEET 2019 score. The Armed Force Medical College will not conduct any separate entrance examination for providing the admissions. Eligible candidates can apply through NEET 2019 entrance examCandidates will be shortlisted on the basis of NEET 2019 scores. It will be compulsory to attend the NEET 2019 entrance exam in order to get admission in the AFMC College.
The marks scored by the candidate in NEET 2019 will be summed up with the ToELR score and then added scores will be divided by 4. The final outcome scores will be the sum of written scores and interview marks.The shortlisted candidates will be called for Test of English Language, Comprehension, Logic and Reasoning (ToELR) and Interview which will be held at AFMC Pune.
A separate call letter will be sent to the individual candidates.AFMC MBBS cut off 2019 will be provided in the month of June 2019 by AFMC, Pune. On the basis of the declared cut off, the authority will prepare the separate merit list of both boys and girls.The admission will be offered on the basis of AFMC MBBS 2019 merit list. AFMC will prepare a separate merit for girls and boys candidates.
Candidates have to produce the original mark sheet and passing certificate of the qualifying examination at the time of admission. The AFMC final merit list will be released after the completion of interview round.The final merit will be drawn based on NEET Scores + ToELR and Interview marks. The admissions will be offered to the candidates based on the NEET written test, ToELR and Interview rounds.
YOU NEED TO APPLY AND REGISTER FOR AFMC ,PUNE WHEN THE ADMISSION PROCESS STARTS(MOSTLY IN JUNE).
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO GO ON AFTER YOUR MBBS :
1)IF YOU WANT TO WORK WITH PRIVATE HOSPITALS YOU NEED TO PAY 28LAKHS(AROUND) FOR OPTING OUR THE BOND,YOU NEED TO DO INTERNSHIP FROM CIVILIAN MEDICAL COLLEGE.
YOU CAN APPEAR FOR PG IMMEDIATELY.
2)WITH ARMY :
If you opt for permanent commission (PC) in the armed forces after completing your MBBS, you are eligible to do your PG after 4 years.You get a permanent commission according to your merit you chose your hospital for internship and then serve for 4 years as RMO .Then you can do PG from any institution but you have to serve in the armed forces hospitals.You get lots of oppurtunities to go abroad and excel but you have to compete with others to get them.You can take Voluntary retirement after 20 years.
If you opt for short service commission (SSC) of 7 years, you are eligible to apply for PG only after you complete 7 years.You get SSC the 4 years will be same and after that you can get DNB degree and your service time will be extended to 14 years after that you are free to go.(with AMC in your resume and DNB you can join any corporate hospital).
During the bond period you will be working as a doctor at either a command hospital or a military hospital anywhere in India.
