What is the COMEDK fee structure for engineering?

The upper limit for fees was 170000 and lower limit for fees was 121000 in the year 2017...though it changes every year.

Hello. As per the agreement between the State Government and Association of Colleges, an upper limit of annual engineering tuition fee has been agreed. The upper limit of Rs. 1,70,000 and Rs. 1,21,000 has been decided by the authorities. The choice between the two fees is as per the institutions. During the counselling session, the payment of COMEDK fees is done in three stages. Firstly, Rs. 5000 has to be paid as the counselling registrations fees by the candidates in online mode. If a seat is allotted to the candidate, then he/she will have to pay Rs. 50,000 to accept the seat. Finally the remaining tuition fees, as applicable, will have to be paid once their admission is confirmed by the allotted institute.

Dear Sandhya, As there are various participating institutes of COMEDK UGET which offer admission to qualifying candidates based on the performance in the entrance test, the fee structure varies from institute to institute, however, there is an upper cap of fee set for all participating institutes. This means that the institutes can not charge more than that until the agrred upon fee is revised. As per COMEDK UGET officials, the upper limit of annual tuition fee for COMEDK UGET participating institutes (as agreed between the State Government and the Association of Colleges) is Rs.1,70,000 or Rs.1,21,000 (whichever is opted by the respective institutions). This means that annually no participating institute of COMEDK UGET can charge the candidates more than this fee. However, this fee may change subject to any revision. As per the official procedure, this above mentioned tuition fee has to be paid in 3 stages. First, you have to pay part tuition fee of Rs. 5,000 at the time of registration for counselling (Rupees Five thousand Only)+*Convenience charges as applicable), then at the second stage you have to pay part tuition fee of Rs. Rs 50,000 (Rupees Fifty thousand Only)+*Convenience charges as applicable) at time of accepting the seat and at the third stage you have to pay the remaining tuition fee (as applicable) at the respective institute level at time of admission about which the respective college/institute will inform you. The fee mentioned above is charged annually by the participating institutes and the procedure of tuition fee payment is common and mandatory for all qualifying candidates of COMEDK UGET who are seeking admission.
