Hey.

Here is the respective opening and closing ranks for admission in NIT Surathkal fot each category in 2017. You can expect a similar cut off this year too.

HOME STATE QUOTA:

General- 5583  17402

OBC- 4063  10301

SC- 492  4272  

ST- 646  1571

OTHER STATES QUOTA:   

General- 2906  8292  

OBC -970  2663  

SC- 368  1275  

ST- 198  634

Dear Suprith

Inorder to take the Mechanical department at NIT Surathkal you need to have a score of 200 marks in Mains if you are from General Category and for other categories it may vary. That means if you are from General Category then roughly you need to have a rank of under the range of 5k - 20k under your respective domain such that you can easily take your dreamed branch.
