what is the derivative of x^3 with respect to x^2.
Hi There,
Let y=x^3 and u=x^2
then dy/du = dy/dx * dx/du
du/dx = 2x
therefore, dx/du = 1/2x
dy/dx = 3x^2
multiplying dy/dx*dx/du = 3x^2*1/2x = 3/2*x
