Hello Rohan,

The desire to acquire knowledge led to curiosity. When early man saw a cave, he wanted to know if there's food in there. When he saw colourful, juicy, sweet smelling fruits, he wanted to know if it's safe to eat.Curiosity is something that you don't know or something that had been said that u don't actually understand , witnessed and described . (http://know.it/) It always triggers your mind by questioning how, why, what and other hot questions that seeks a comfortable answer.

Some basic Examples are:

1.Wanting to know why the sky is blue.

2.Wondering how atoms interact.

3.Wishing to open a box to see what is inside.
