Hello there,

As per your question, I'll write the answer in a descriptive manner with my knowledge and some NCERT information.

"The periodic law is essentially the consequences of the periodic variation in electronic configuration "

The periodic law says that periodic elements are properties of their periodic number.

So in accordance to periodic table, it determine the physical and chemical properties of elements and their compounds, like what are the physical and chemical properties of the elements with their increasing atomic weights. For an example, the size increases from top to bottom and decreases from moving left to right.

This gives us the information about their physical property. And now talking about the chemical property, in halogen family the electronegativity decreases from top to bottom.

Thanks.
