To be eligible for JEE Main and admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, you'll need to meet the following minimum criteria:

2. *Age Limit*: There's no age limit for JEE Main.

3. *Subjects*: You must have studied Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry (or Biology, Biotechnology, or Technical Vocational Subject) in your 12th standard.

4. *JEE Main Marks*: There's no minimum mark requirement in JEE Main to participate in the exam. However, you'll need to score well to qualify for JEE Advanced or admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

Board Marks Eligibility Criteria

1. *Minimum Marks*: You must have scored at least 75% marks (65% for SC/ST/PwD candidates) in your 12th standard or equivalent examination.

2. *Top 20 Percentile*: You must be in the top 20 percentile of your 12th standard board examination.

Please note that these eligibility criteria are subject to change, and you should check the official JEE Main website or the website of the institute you're applying to for the latest information.

For JEE Main eligibility, the minimum criteria are as follows:

  • JEE Main Marks: As JEE Main is an entrance exam, there is no fixed minimum score to appear in the examination. The qualifying cut-off marks may vary with the number of candidates appearing for the paper and the difficulty level of the paper. Generally, as far as marks scored in JEE Main are concerned, getting around 90-100 marks shows a good chance of qualifying for that particular examination and proceeding further with counseling rounds.
  • Board Marks: In the Class 12th board exams, the general category candidates need to obtain at least 75% marks to get eligibility for JEE Main. SC/ST students have to get at least 65%. This depends upon the candidate's marks in the board exams.

Eligibility Criteria can be checked every year, as the authorities might have different eligibility criteria for this exam every year according to the authorities of the examination.
