Hi Tanay,

Admission to VIT is conducted on Merit basis through it's own online entrence exam called Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE).

There are various factors which are taken into consideration before preparing the cutoff of VITEEE. Such as:

-Difficulty level of the examination

-Previous year trends

-Total number of candidates appeared for the entrance exam

-Total number of seats available

-Total number of applicants applied for the entrance exam.

Officially, VIT does not release cutoff of VITEEE. If released, it will be available as the closing rank.

Since wa dont get official Cutoff's from VIT we can always predict the closing rank with reference to the previous year closing rank.

The closing rank for CSE in VIT with reference to previous year closing rank is between 6000 to 15000.

I am attaching a link from which you can get some details regarding the question.

All the best.
