Hi Manjunath,

Getting admission in any IIT/NIT/IIIT/GFTI's depends on your rank rather than your marks.

Therefore, I can provide you 2016, 2017 and 2018 JoSSA cutoff ranks of NIT Surathkal for the OBC-NCL category, so you can get a clear idea.

JoSSA has not yet released the Round 7 cutoff of NIT Surathkal.


In 2016, after Round 6-

Opening Rank- 486 and Closing Rank- 2,515 (CSE)


In 2017, after Round 7-

Opening Rank- 898 and Closing Rank- 3,723 (CSE)


In 2018, after Round 7-

Opening Rank- 996 and Closing Rank- 2,237 (CSE)

CSE- 230 to 240+IT- 220 to 225+ECE- 220 to 225+EEE- 200 to 205+Mechanical- 195 to 200+Civil- 175+Metallurgical- 165+Mining- 155 to 160+ Hope this helps you.

Yes, 240 or 250+ will definitely get you CSE in NIT Surat.

The cutoff for General Category is 250+ usually, so for OBC, you can expect it to be 240+.
