hello aspirant,

Qualifying Cut off or minimum percentile to write jeemain changes every year due to many factors like:total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of exam, reservations, total seats available for admission, previous year cutoff trends etc

but based on previous year data and trends the minimum ualifying percentile for gen student to write jee advanced is:90-95

get the cutoffs at:

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

85.8 percentile would fetch you a rank around 147312-165600.As of now its tough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc  considering you from gen category, with your percentile ,you have tough chances to fetch seat for fetching in nits, iiits.you need better percentile of 98+  to fetch seat in top nits,iiits..you can try in private engineering colleges using your jee percentile. workhard for the upcoming jeemain sessions..you can get closing rank for josaa official website: https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx  ..for top private engineering colleges you can try  for the below colleges through jeemains:

thapar university

BIT mesra

sastra university

srm university

amritha vishwa vidyapeetham
