If you applied for BCA Admission in a private college, the admission process will be based on merit i.e., marks scored by the candidates in class 12th. Only a few private colleges conducts an entrance exam for BCA, and most of the times, the admission are based on merit.

SorryYSorry todto say but you did not mention any college name but I am mentioning the basic eligibility criteria to take admission in BCA.

The candidate must have passed 10+2 with atleast 50% marks where english is a mandatory subject.

The admission is both merit and entrance based, some colleges take admission through entrance examination like IPU CET, whereas some colleges also take admission through merit.
