The National Testing Agency has released the exam patter in the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
There are total 3 subjects that is Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry . In each section you would be having 30 questions each out of which 20 questions will be MCQ based and 10 questions will be numerical based.
Out 10 questions only 5 has to be answered. Earlier there was no negative marking in the numerical section but now there is negative marking.
For each correct answer there will be 4 marks and for wrong answer there will be -1 for it.

This examination is for three hours having both multiple choice question and question with numerical values as answers
There are three sections
1. Mathematics : 25 ques : out of 25 ques MCQ =15 ques and numerical values type answer = 10 ques . out of these 10 ques 5 question are compulsory
2. Physics : 25 ques : out of 25 ques MCQ =15 ques and numerical values type answer = 10 ques . out of these 10 ques 5 question are compulsory
3.Chemistry: 25 ques : out of 25 ques MCQ =15 ques and numerical values type answer = 10 ques . out of these 10 ques 5 question are compulsory
So total 75 ques 25 ques each section so total marls =300 (100 in each section)
Marking scheme : For MCQs there will be +4 for correct and for wrong answer -1
For numerical values as answer : +4 marks for correct and -1 for exach wrong answer
