“Job opportunities are endless for an Aerospace Engineer”

An Aerospace Engineer can work in both government & private sectors. There are many job opportunities for aerospace engineers in India as well as abroad.

Basically an Aerospace Engineer design, develops, researches, test and maintains the performance of military & civil aircraft, rockets, missiles, weapons systems, satellites, etc.

Major Job opportunities for Aerospace Engineers are available in Air Force, Airlines, Corporate Research Companies, Helicopter Companies, Defence Ministry, Aviation Companies, NASA, Flying clubs, Aeronautical Laboratories, Aircraft manufacturers, government owned air services and many others.

Job opportunity in the field of teaching is also open for candidates possessing master’s degree in aerospace engineering.

AERONAUTICAL ENGINEERING – OPPORTUNITIES & SCOPE

One of the most technologically advanced branches of engineering, Aeronautical Engineers are demanded both nationally and internationally. They are required in public and private Airline Services as well as aircraft-manufacturing units.

Initially, these engineers are hired as Junior Engineers or graduate engineer trainees. Based on their performance, they are promoted to the suitable designation.

Countries like United States of America, France, UK and Germany hire Aeronautical Engineers.  In NASA, one can find a good number of India engineers.

The salary to these engineers are offered based on their experience, skills, city of employment and type of employer.

  • Government/Public sectors (approximately) – 8,000 to Rs.10,000 (excluding other allowances)
  • Private Sector – 8,000 to Rs.15,000 per month (approximately) plus perks
  • Engineering graduates with management degrees –10,000 to Rs.40,000 p.m. (starting approximately) plus perks
