what is the work of military engineer?

Military Engineers are required for designing and building military/warfare equipments and maintaining lines of military vehicles and military communications . Military engineers also look after logistics behind military tactics. Their support is required in cases like diffusing improvised explosive devices , keep the communication links up and running .
Some times they also help in non-military tasks like volunteering during floods , earthquakes etc.
