Tarun, in 2019, under State Quota, an All India Rank of 13205 secured a seat in IPGMER under General Category. That was the cut off. It can be roughly translated to 575-625. Now cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no,of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So if your target is IPGMER, you should aim for nothing less than 650. For any guidance during counselling and admission, you can use our MBBS Companion: https://dqxeclau.top/mbbs-companion

Hey,

You should try to secure around 650 in NEET for IPGMER.However, every year the cutoff changes depending upon the difficulty level of the question paper, the number of candidates appearing in the examination, the categories of the candidates etcetra. Now to give you an idea about the general admission procedure ,There are two types of cutoffs:Qualifying cutoff and Admission cutoff.

Qualifying cutoff is the minimum percentile or score that you need to have in order to apply for admission. The qualifying percentile for General candidates is 50 percentile(the equivalent scores would be declared along with NEET result 2020).

Now,for admission to government medical colleges, there are two types of seats-15 percent All India Quota seats and 85 percent qouta seats.

The admission to medical colleges depend on factors like state quota, reservation etcetera.

To get admission under All India Quota, you should aim for 600+ marks in NEET exams and for state qouta you should aim to score above 550 to get admission in government medical colleges.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.

Hello,

Neet is one of the prestigious examinations of the nation and it gives a dream come true opportunity to aspiring doctors.

You should try to score marks around 580+ in NEET for IPGMER because there is cut throat competition .

The cutoffs change every year and completely depend on the number of students taking the test, the difficulty of the paper etc. But to be on a safer side and to get a seat in your desired college try to score 58+ in Neet.
