Hello aspirant,

Photo electric in the name it have depend on the light that light energy required to release an electron from the metal with the help of light it depends on the frequency that light fall on the metal not the intensity ,At certain frequency only electron will release.Phenomenon in which electrically charged particles are released from or within a material when it absorbs electromagnetic radiation.

I hope you may understand,

Have a nice day.

Hii , Photoelectric effect, phenomenon in which electrically charged particles are released from or within a material when it absorbs electromagnetic radiation. The effect is often defined as the ejection of electrons from a metal plate when light falls on it in other hand we can say the photoelectric effect supports the particle theory of light because it shows that the energy required to release electrons from a metal is totally dependent upon the frequency of the light, and not the intensity. Therefore, certain frequencies of light, no matter how intense, cannot cause an electron to be emitted from the surface of a metal.

Hope it will helpful

Thanks
