Hey Bidyut,

First you have to cross the cutoff marks in Jee mains so that you will allowed to appear in Jee advance.


Jee advance is the toughest 12th level exam in India.

I will be talking about general students because you did not mention any specific catagory.


For NITs if you have secured under 25k rank then you will get sure any NIT. There is also extra benifite with your home state quota.


If you are talking about IITs.

Then if you secured under 7k rank then you will get one seat sure in any of the IITs it may vary because this year (2018) there is extra reservation for girls. If you want to a good IIT with core the branch then you have to secure under 3k rank.
