Background of the photo can be coloured or blacknwhite (it should be clear enough)..
any cap or goggles are not allowed except spectacles....you should have some copies of this photo which can be used for verification at the later stage....For more details you can check out jee official website:

background color photo should be scanned.
the candidate and date of taking the photograph printed on it . It should be without cap or
goggles. Spectacles are allowed. Polaroid photos are not acceptable. Candidates with unclear
photograph are liable to be rejected. Candidates may keep 6-8 identical photographs in reserve for use at
the time of entrance examination, Seat Allocation Process and Admission.
