Hi Adarsh.
A lot of students come across this doubt every year. It's actually up to you. Either you can choose any college and study well or attempt JEE next year after coaching for a year. I'll suggest you go for the second option, if you completed your 12th in 2018. Prepare for JEE 2019, really hard. You should be seriuos about the studies as you're spending a year of yours and your parent's money. You have to work really hard. You can choose to study for yourselves or go to any good coaching institutes. If you're sure that you can get a good score in JEE 2019, you just go for it. Don't think about anything else and don't ask for others opinion, other than your parents.

And if you are thinking about choosing a college now and attempting jee once more, I wouldn't recommend that. It's possible but, taking a drop is better, as if you're in a college, you may lose the seriousness of studying for JEE 2019.
Good Luck.
