In 2020 in round 1 counselling a candidate with rank 16048  secured seat in Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal in B.Tech Biotechnology. Considering the previous year cut off you need to secure a rank below 16000 to have decent chances of getting seat in the preferred branch. It is difficult to predict the exact score because the marks vs rank trend varies depending on the total number of candidates appeared, top score, lowest score, tie breakers and other such factors. A safe score is in between 100-140 marks  or above out of 240 marks. The cut off is subjected to change, it may increase or decrease depending on the total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc.
