What will happen if a student, having a 6th subject,fails in one of the main subjects in CBSE 12th boards?

Accordingly to CBSE rule, student has to pass in English plus 4 subjects to be considered pass so as long as student passes in English and passes PCB with 50% aggregate along with one more subject then, failing in sixth subject does not matter as CBSE will take top five subject marks that means you have passed 12 and can appear for NEET.
